The Godfather, Car Parking Pass/License Plate
original film-crew items
Original cardboard sign/placard designating specific cars as being used in The Godfather (1972). A Film Car marker was issued by Paramount and measured 6 inches tall x 12 inches wide. The movie was shot on location between March-August 1971, principally in New York (Staten Island and Harlem), Hollywood, Las Vegas and Sicily. In each location these placards were used to identify cars earmarked for specific scenes in the film, whether key parts of a scene or simply as backdrop. This specific sign/placard has held up very well. It has been framed along with a photograph of a Film Car bearing such a license plate/placard and a signed photograph by James Caan (Sonny) showing this car. COA by Props In Motion Online. Autograph by Beckett.
