This is an original contact sheet of production test photos from the original 1977 film Star Wars. Photos like these were taken for visual reference, continuity, and decision making in the different departments working on the film. This particular contact sheet features test shots of various aliens seen on Tattooine when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Ben / Obi-Wan Kenobi (Sir Alec Guinness), enter the city of Mos Eisley and visit the Mos Eisley Cantina. Featured here are assorted photos of three Tatooine / Cantina alien characters, Swilla Cory (blonde haired female character seen in cantina sequence portrayed by actress Mandy Morton), and a member of the art department (possibly Stuart Freeborn) applying make up to the cantina character Dr. Evazan portrayed by Alfie Curtis. Dr. Evazan was one of the two characters that pick a fight with Luke Skywalker at the bar of the cantina, only to be struck down by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s light saber.
