The first Star Trek hand weapon, precursor to the phaser, used by Captain Pike and the Enterprise crew when confronting the Talosians in the first original series pilot, The Cage.

This brass, aluminum, resin and acrylic replica was engineered from direct measurements of Greg Jein's surviving screen-used prop. Various rough details were cleaned up, later revisions were removed, and the extending barrel, seen on some of the screen-used pieces but not present on GJ's, was added. Additional features, including a ratchet-lock front aluminum ring for selecting among the 3 beam emitters, sliding overload ring, delrin sleeve lining the extending outer brass barrel, spring-loaded metal trigger, folding rear sight, and 5 mW red laser diode, make this the best Cage laser replica ever created.
