This is not a true prop-replica, it's a toy from Playmates. I upgraded the phaser with a new paint job and a working power-indicator, featuring a 'beep' each time the power is increased. I also replaced the toy's light-bulb with a bright LED for the 'phaser beam'. It still uses the original sound board, however, sincethe buttons now control the indicator circuit board, only one sound-effect is available (hard-wired).
