A prop antique French bronze compote with detailed scroll engraving overall, accented with stones, figures and faces. All these match to the film.

With 2 sets of 20th Century Fox markings inside and underneath.

We were really excited to see this is the gold compote Bette Davis eats out of in the Academy award winning classic \"All About Eve\" (1950) while wearing her famous dress and just before the classic quote \"Fasten your seat belts, it\'s going to be a bumpy night\". Which also starred a young Marilyn Monroe.

It had quite the history at the studio appearing in at least 7 other productions including \'Anna and the King of Siam\' (1946), \'That Lady in Ermine\' (1948), \'Call Me Madam\' (1953), \'Treasure of the Golden Condor\' (1953) and in 3 TV shows... \'Batman\' (1966) S01E05 The Joker is Wild\', \'Lost in Space\' (1965) Season 1 Episode 21\', being held by Michael J. Pollard who you may remember from Star Trek TOS. And lastly \'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964–1968) Season 1 Episode 2\'. Please let us know if you spot it in anything else.
