Xena: Warrior Princess, Borias’ costume

This is Borias’ (played by Marton Csokas) complete screen-worn costume, down to the boot wraps. The costume was worn by Borias throughout his multiple series appearances, including the pivotal duologies “The Debt” and “Adventures in the Sin Trade.” It was originally sold by It’s A Wrap! during the 2001-2002 end-of-series online auction and came with their certificate of authenticity. The costume consists of a patchwork suede leather vest and pants; leather boots and wraps; and a matching set of concho’d bandoliers, a belt, and gauntlets trimmed with real copper accents and what appears to be genuine possum pelts. It’s also accompanied by a very heavy patchwork fur coat, which also appears to be made of possum pelts. Fully assembled, the costume weighs about 30 pounds but feels even heavier.
