Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Boatswain's Call
replica movie prop
Guess who's coming to dinner ...
A boatswain's call or pipe is a pipe used on naval ships by a boatswain. It is pronounced, and sometimes spelled, "bosun's call". Historically the boatswain's call was used to pass commands to the crew when the voice could not be heard over the sounds of the sea. Because of its high pitch, it could be heard over the activities of the crew and bad weather.
This 23rd century version of the Boatswain's call was used aboard the Star Ship Enterprise when the Klingon delegates beamed over for dinner with the crew. This hollow, all resin replica has been painted in screen accurate colors and features an accurate LED configuration that is activated by two button on the top. The third button activates the screen accurate whistle sound effects. The fourth button is non-functional. It also features accurate decals.
Kit by SLK. Decals by Buddahaid. Built with custom electronics by myself.
