In the Hellboy comic book story In The Chapel of Moloch, first published in 2008, Hellboy encouters a minor demon who has seduced a sculptor into creating a soon-to-be reanimated effigy of the god-monster Moloch. Of the many holy relics he carries, Hellboy selects this button ("from the coat Bishop Zrinyi was wearing when he fought the Carpathian goat") and tosses it squarely into one of the demon's eye sockets, with amusingly dramatic results.
