The Departed, Billy Costigan’s (Leonardo DiCaprio) Screen Used Hero Walther PPK

This is Billy Costigan's (Leonardo DiCaprio) hero Walther PPK from Martin Scorsese's 2006 crime thriller and Oscar winner for Best Picture, The Departed. Costigan uses this gun throughout the entire film, including the climactic scene in which he confronts Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) on a rooftop. After Costigan is shot getting off the elevator by trooper Barrigan (James Badge Dale), Barrigan picks up the weapon and uses it to shoot officer Brown (Anthony Anderson). After revealing that he too is working for Costello, Barrigan hands the weapon to Sullivan who proceeds to shoot and kill Barrigan in an attempt to completely cover his tracks.  This hero gun is a real nickel Walther PPK pistol. The pistol includes rental paperwork that identifies it by serial number and lists the dates it was rented to the production. This piece is in excellent condition.
