In fifth season episode Secret Services, Pete and Myka investigate a series of spontaneous drownings on land, in which the victims suddenly start coughing up saltwater and sand. Until the artifact responsible for the deaths is found and neutralized, Myka keeps this counteracting artifact at the ready, using it to save two by extracting water from their rapidly flooding lungs. The dessicating artifact is a simple pendant made from silver taken from mines in the Atacama Desert, a plateau extending along the western coast of South America, considered the driest non-polar location on Earth and rich in metallic minerals including copper, gold, iron, and silver. 

7" (18 cm) metal pendant, with Aztec motifs (probably should be Incan if from the Atacama Desert). Includes wood presentation box not seen onscreen.
