This is a sneak peek at the first shoe of a replica pair of Arabian ruby slippers which I'm creating.  The original Arabian ruby slipper test shoes were designed by Gilbert Adrian, and worn by Judy Garland in early costume tests for the film.  They were previously owned by actress Debbie Reynolds, and were sold at auction in 2011.  This replica shoe was made using metallic deep red burgundy sequins, 13ss vintage Swarovski red rhinestones, vintage faceted dark red rautens mounted in red rims, and vintage original Czech red/orange shield shaped montees.  The base shoes are a vintage pair of Chinese shoes, possibly used in a former movie production.  The other Arabian ruby slipper is currently in production.
