An extremely rare original prop from the critically acclaimed film, this is the hero screen used film reel which Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) picks up and uses to hit both Bogs Diamond (Mark Rolston) and fellow "Sisters" gang member Rooster (Gary Lee Davis) in the face inside the Shawshank Prison theatre projection room. Painted and distressed with two feet of 35mm motion picture film wrapped around, Director Frank Darabont requested the Prop Department custom design and make the film reel from hard foam rubber allowing Tim Robbins to imitate striking both Rolston and Davis face on during filming, without causing any injury should the prop have made contact with the actors.
