Amsterdam’s (Leonardo Dicaprio) Cloth Bag from the 2002 Martin Scorsese epic movie Gangs of New York. The bitter and grown up Amsterdam can be seen with all his possessions in this bag when he leaves the Orphanage he was sent to as a young boy. The bag is made from cream and brown striped material tied at the top and stuffed with anything from polystyrene chips to balled up newspaper and rags to bulk it out for filming. It has been intentionally stained and distressed by the production to appear dirty and aged, but is in otherwise good condition. It measures approximately 40cm (15.75”) across and is very pliable and can be shaped to sit taller or wider
