Xena: Warrior Princess, Amazon tortoise shell shield
original movie prop weapon
This piece is one of the prop shields used by the Amazon queens in the season 6 episode “To Helicon and Back” during the beach invasion. It is hard resin painted to resemble a tortoise shell, and a pair of leather straps are riveted to the reverse side. The numbering on the leather strap was added by former crew member and owner for inventory purposes.
