An original antique textured lithograph engraving, entitled \"The Cherry Tree\" from MGM\'s prop department used in numerous films/TV including the classic \'Twilight Zone\' (1959–1964) in episode 49 \"Back There\" which originally aired on January 13, 1961, where at a prominent club in Washington, D.C., a socialite argues about whether it would be possible to change history by traveling back in time. When he leaves the club he finds himself in 1865, on the night that President Lincoln will be shot. Starring Russell Johnson, who had appeared in another time-travel episode the previous season.
Other productions it was used in include \'Rose Marie\' (1954), the musical film adaptation of the 1924 operetta of the same name.
It is directed by Mervyn LeRoy and stars Ann Blyth, Howard Keel, Bert Lahr, Marjorie Main and Fernando Lamas.
UPDATE---This painting has also been found in THE ACTRESS 1953 with Spencer Tracy
