The Twilight Zone, Alien Invader
replica movie prop
In classic original series episode The Invaders, Agnes Moorhead plays an old woman, living alone in a ramshackle remote backwoods cabin, who finds herself fighting for her life against the tiny but technologically advanced crew of an alien spaceship that lands on her roof.
No words are spoken as the battle becomes increasingly desperate, the woman fighting with anything at hand - a lantern, a stick, a bedsheet - against their miniature gamma ray lasers. Eventually she gains the upper hand, and as she destroys their spacecraft with a hatchet, they broadcast a message, in English, warning Control to stay away from this planet and it's incredible race of giants, while the camera pans back to show the identification on the ship's hull: U.S. AIR FORCE SPACE PROBE No 1.
These are the Invaders. Tiny beings from a tiny place called Earth, who would take the giant step across the sky to the question marks that sparkle and beckon from the vastness of a universe only to be imagined. The Invaders, who found out that a one-way ticket to the stars beyond has the ultimate price tag, one we have just seen entered in a ledger that covers all the transactions in the universe. A bill stamped Paid In Full, and to be found on file, in the Twilight Zone.
Resin with ceramic fill, cast from an original sculpt. Compared to the recently released Sideshow version, this replica features: more accurate visor shape and metal mesh detail inside the visor; turnable hand-soldered brass antenna; more accurate breathing apparatus and body shape; accurate backside including spacesuit vertical center seam; both weapon and flashlight in hand; and fine twisted wire details on the front of the suit as also present on the screenused props.
