This is almost exact same Alice's (Mila Jovovich) Dual Shotgun Display from Paul W.S. Anderson's action sequel, Resident Evil: Afterlife just sold at propstore. In the film, Alice continues her quest to stop the Umbrella Corporation, and must now lead a group of survivors to the safe haven known as Arcadia. Alice can be seen with two 12 gauge sawed-off double barreled shotguns throughout the film, and keeps them holstered on her back when not in use.
Made from rubber and plastic, these shotguns feature a silver colored receiver and barrel with the fore-end and stock painted black, and the trigger painted gold. On the sides of the receiver are simple floral etchings. Stunt weapons such as these are commonly used for distance shots when a hero piece is not needed; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences where the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
Both shotguns measure approximately 2.5" x 4" x 20" (51cm x 10cm x 6cm) and come presented in a custom-built opening display frame. The display includes UV-Plexi facing over a laser-cut mount board featuring the film’s title as well as two stills from the film. This display can be easily opened and closed by use of magnets on the side, allowing for easy access to the prop. This piece remains in very good condition.
