The Matrix, Agent Smith Desert Eagle Mk XIX .50 AE
replica movie prop weapon
The iconic Desert Eagle has figured prominently in hundreds of action movies, television shows and video games, starting almost immediately after its introduction in 1983. This is the exact version carried by Smith and other Agents in their pursuit of Neo and Morpheus. Visible differences from earlier versions include taller cocking serrations and the addition of a scope rail on the slide, as well as changes to the safety and slide levers. The Agent Desert Eagles also all sport barrels chambered for the imposing .50 Action Express round; the .357 and .44 Magnum barrels have fluting along the sides, not present on the .50 AE barrel.
This hand cannon is of very limited practicality but great fun to fire, and with a 6' flame exploding from the end of the barrel, certainly gets attention at the range. Somewhat less kick than you might expect for such a massive round, due to the pistol's gas-operated mechanism and rotating bolt, features more commonly found in rifles.
