Custom concept sonic screwdriver, depicting what the Eighth Doctor's own sonic might have been like. 

 

Based on recognizable classic sonic lines, slightly shortened, with the addition of next gen features including: base designed to jack directly into a TARDIS port; settings dial just above the base; cylindrical power couplings; and sonic focusing crystal opposite the emitter. Machined aluminum, with steel center shaft; retractable spring-loaded collar slider; and blue anodized ring, couplings, and dial.
