In the 1996 television movie, the Seventh Doctor first uses this version of the sonic screwdriver to lock away the 'final' remains of the Master for transport back to Gallifrey. After the Seventh Doctor's untimely death, the Mk IV passes to Chang Lee and then to the revivified Master, before ultimately returning back into the Eighth Doctor's possession.
Machined aluminum and brass, with polished emitter ring, red powder coated bullet, and spring-loaded telescoping neck.
