Cold Mountain 31st Regt Maine Volunteers flag. Per the films
technical advisor, hand painted in full original historic size by
Italian artists in Romainia, where the movie was shot. On screen
during the film's recreation of the famous 1864 Petersburg Battle
of the Crater. Future directors cut may restore even more of this
battle action, as lots of combat footage was filmed and included
in a longer pre-edited for time version shown by the director to the
techical advisor. A wonderful piece of prop art, superb feather and
claw feet details, eye of the eagle is mesmerizing.
