This is a replica of the hymnal used by Josephine Hull as Abby Brewster and Jean Adair as Abby Brewster in "Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)." This replica is a first edition that is as old as the copies used in the movie. In the movie, their characters use the hymnals to sing at the funerals of men they have killed. They can be heard singing the old hymn, "There is a Happy Land." An interesting note is that that hymn is NOT actually in that hymnal.
