Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, 'Astounding Science Fiction' - Prop Book

This item was acquired through Propworx and is from the Okuda collection. It is a prop book, used as set dressing, in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode 'Far Beyond The Stars'. In this episode Benjamin Sisko suffers from Pah-Wraith visions that make him believe he is a science fiction writer, named Benny Russell, in America in the 1950's. The characters that 'Benny' interacts with are played by the regular actors from DS9. At the top of the episode 'Benny' stops at a news stand and buys a sci-fi anthology book - in the background, on the news stand, is the book that I purchased. The front cover is of very recognizable matte paintings from TOS. The back cover is a fake ad that also appears on the back of the 'hero' book that Benny buys. The book is titled 'Astounding Science Fiction' (the cover is simply glued onto an existing book).
