Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Mogwai Concept Puppet

Production Made Prototype Mogwai Puppet created by Rick Baker's team for the production of Gremlins 2: The New Batch. It was a preliminary concept for what the new Mogwai would look like in the sequel.

This version is very similar to the final Mogwai form, although this prototype's fur is completely white. The two-piece puppet is made of a foam and fur body, with a foam latex face, ears, hand and toes. The puppet body features an open back with two attached elastic bands, a right hand partially detached, and a left hand which is no longer present (see photos).

Overall, this puppet remains in good condition with very little wear to the foam latex sections. The puppet body measures approximately 13" x 8” (33cm x 20cm), the head measures approximately 16” x 5” (41cm x 13cm).
